071 071 The ancient farmhouse, subdivided into 6 independant apartments besides the owner’s, is located at less tham one km from the Lake Trasimeno, on one of the sweet hills typical of the Umbrian countryside; it is surrounded by seven acres of organic olive groves and protected in the north by an oak forest. It enjoys an impressive panorama around its countryside and over the lake, beloved and admired by famous poets and many tourists. From Podere Monte Petreto the eye of the visitor travels from east to west over the Umbrian countryside to the lake, with the nearby ancient village of San Savino, located about 700 meters from the farmhouse. Also noted for a rare medieval triangular-section tower, the site evokes a sense of peace and tranquillity, enjoyed in all the surroundings. We speak English and -at elementary level – French.

The apartments, some with the fireplace, are all equipped with kitchen, TV and WI_FI. Restaurant service is not available at the farmhouse, but we are close to several good places where to eat. The beautiful swimming pool -with warmed water- is surrounded by the olive groves and has a beautiful view over the countryside; the cultivation around is biologic and the solar panels provide us most of the energy.
Several cats and some dogs live with us, they are reliable and are free in the property; your pets -if good and always under supervision- will be welcome too.

Lake Trasimeno (Italian: Lago Trasimeno, Italian pronunciation: [ˌlaːɡo traziˈmɛːno]; Latin: Trasumennus; Etruscan Tarśmina[1]), also referred to as Trasimene or Thrasimene in English, is a lake in the province of Perugia, in the Umbria region of Italy.

The lake is south of the river Po and north of the nearby river Tiber, has a surface area of 128 km2 (49.4 sq mi) and is the fourth for surface area in Italy. (It is slightly smaller than Lake Como.)

Only two minor streams flow directly into the Lake and none flows out. The water level of the lake fluctuates significantly according to rainfall levels and the seasonal demands from the towns, villages and farms near the shore.

We have a beautiful swimming pool (6×12 mt), open from June the 1st to the half of September (depending from the weather). Due to its panoramic location you can see both the wood and the olive grove.
